This Technical Lead role is all about owning and driving technical excellence

As the Technical Lead you are responsible for leading and supporting complex change within tribes. You contribute to the IT strategy, development and execution of the Tribe roadmaps as you work across the tribes to enable effective and efficient delivery within our complex IT landscape. You will support the effective allocation of Engineer resources across the Delivery Organisation.

About the role

This is a senior technical role and we'd like you to be comfortable leading technical engagements as well as remaining involved in day to day development activities.

  • Manage team of engineers, utilising a "chapter lead" approach
  • Support tribes and squads in delivering value while ensuring technical dependencies are discussed and understood
  • Work with Architects and Engineering Lead to support senior management to make decisions on complex IT innovations and issues.
  • Co-create roadmaps, inputting the IT perspective. You work closely with different stakeholders who input the business perspective.
  • Work with team to build and enhance internal applications and work with partners and global entities to adopt and enhance third party applications
  • Implement continuous delivery practices, including test automation, frequent delivery to production, etc.
  • Release Change Management - make sure features are delivered into Production according to the change management process
  • Champion and consistently demonstrate the behaviours and mindset that support Agile Way of Working

About you

  • Experience with working with Agile and DevOps delivery
  • Minimum of 5 years' plus experience in working in a substantial technology department
  • Experience in providing input into IT strategy and follow through that demonstrates effective and successful execution within area of expertise
  • Proven experience in developing engineering capability and effectiveness in a team
  • Stakeholder management at Executive level
