Reporting to a supportive Head Of who wants you to drive your own Compliance Framework
Newly created opportunity to create, implement and take charge of your own compliance framework. You will be implementing this with regional managers locally in a non-domestic bank.
The objective of this role is to ensure compliance with legislation, internal and external Policies and Standards and drive awareness and accountability by embedding compliance in the 1st line of defence of the organisation.
Tasks include, but are not limited to: the identification of risks (which includes emerging risks), ensuring that controls are effective and efficient in both design and operation, advice and training to the business, engagement with 2nd line Compliance in relation to new regulations, changes to regulations, post implementation reviews of regulatory change, ensuring incidents and issues have been remediated appropriately and continual improvement.
The Senior Compliance Manager is also responsible to assist with the interpretation of the BEAR regime, standards and accountabilities; and furthermore to implement the actions required to be compliant.
This non-domestic bank is undergoing some great transformation and improvements and this would be a great opportunity to join at this time.
