Exciting opportunity to contribute to a range of 1LOD risk management projects across the bank's retail banking sector on a contract basis. Combine your skills in risk and controls and operational risk framework projects to add value to meaningful change across the business.
Working directly with the Head of Financial Assistance, you will manage the risk in change controls and implement operational risk frameworks across direct channels of the bank. You will also responsible for ad-hoc risk reporting, ensuring visibility of key risks and issues from changes introduced into the business.
On a day to day basis, you will:
Collaborate with wider direct channels teams including the 1st and 2nd Line of Defence operational risk teams to advise and drive initiatives across business units
Ensure effective control designs are in place for any new and changing processes
Document all new and changing project-based risks occurring in the business
Drive implementation and consistently manage of ORM, ensuring operational risk activities agree with risk appetite statements
Deliver accurate risk reporting based on the continually changing risk landscape of the bank

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have:
2+ years demonstrated Line 1 operational risk experience
Risk in change experience advantageous but not essential
Degree qualified in accounting or similar finance discipline
Experience working in ambiguous environments
Financial services and retail banking experience
Previous experience engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business to negotiate and influence decisions
Ability to identify emerging threats and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions to undertake
