Ideal disputes background - potentially working within a team leader capacity that is looking to manage a small team

Come on board a leading domestic Insurance services provider and manage the Disputes team, resolve internal and external disputes across A&NZ and liaise closely with external disputes and complaints regulatory bodies across Australia (AFCA, CGC) and New Zealand (FSCL).


Leverage your previous dispute resolution experience in managing and overseeing all the group internal and external disputes and complaints for the Australia and NZ region, in response to AFCA and FCSL frameworks.

Gain exposure to complete end-to-end customer experience through working closely with several business units including underwriting, claims and customer service to effectively handle and resolve all disputes and provide feedback to the business, analysis and trends.

Manage the Remediation Action Plan (RAP) for Internal Disputes Resolution, including identifying and reporting of RAP 'Learning Points' as well as attending meetings with ASIC and expert independent parties.

  • Demonstrated experience in dispute handling in financial services across IDR and EDR, specifically with AFCA/FCSL/CGC
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, with specific experience in drafting with excellent attention to detail
  • Be able to analyse documentation and identify key issues in the provisions of insurance contracts
  • Great decision making skills and ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations across the board
  • Ability to manage and supervise staff
