About The Role

Our client is a leading media organisation based in the heart of Sydney in state of the art offices. This organisation is well established globally and has growth through acquisition which has lead huge growth within their Australian business.

As a result of recent promotions, a role has arisen within the team for a commercial analyst to support with key pricing initiatives and business partnering with sales.

This is a high performing team and known for regular promotions which means that there is an opportunity for you to fast track your career and reach manager level quickly.

About The Role

This role will be supporting the sales team to provide accurate pricing for various deals. This role reports directly to the commercial finance manager and you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Drive trading and sales operations by analysing inventory pricing, business analytics around sales performance, improving the rate on partnership deals
  • Analyse the performance of assets and regulate partnership deal approvals (approx. 100 contracts per week), considering various factors such as price point, sales volume etc
  • Management of the media schedule and liaison with both internal and external business partners
  • Involvement with various projects such as pricing initiatives, sales strategy, process improvement, and systems implementation

About You

  • Sound understanding of finance and accounting whilst having strong commercial acumen - CPA/CA qualified or part-qualified is preferred
  • Keen interest in the Media industry
  • Solid experience with MS Excel and ability to perform detailed analysis and draw insights
  • Excellent communication skills for the purpose of liaising with senior stakeholders and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously while having the decision-making skills to identify when an issue should be escalated to senior management
