Full stack ICT Business Analyst who can think like a PM, can take a problem, define it, explore solutions, conduct analys with the goal of improving the lives of vulnerable people across NSW.

You are a "Full Stack" ICT Business Analyst with PM nous, someone who can take a business problem or opportunity, define it and refine it, explore the rest of the enterprise for opportunities to leverage and re-platform, conduct market analysis and/or draw from experience for possible solutions, work with SMEs, architects, procurement and project delivery resources, build business arguments, and initiate projects to deliver solutions to those problems and opportunities and driven by your passion to improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in NSW.

Responsibilities;

  • Work with the ICT Business Partnership team to identify problems and opportunities and ensure they align to the departments strategic priorities and divisional Line of Business plans
  • Work with the business, business partners, SMEs, architects, procurement and the PMO to plan, startup and initiate ICT projects
  • With the ICT Business Partners , be a trusted advisor to the business on ICT matters
  • Write concept papers, requirements documents, project briefs, briefing notes, business cases
  • Conduct thorough analysis and provide concise and sound recommendations to stakeholders and ICT management team

Specific requirements;

  • Flexibility to work at Ashfield, Liverpool, Parramatta, and occasionally CBD offices
  • Awareness of industry standard frameworks PRINCE2, BABOK
  • Awareness of NSW Govt ICT Procurement frameworks and standards
  • Proven stakeholder management skills in engaging senior managers and directors
  • "Full Stack"/Pipeline capability - end to end, from concept or challenge to ideation, strategic alignment, classical business analysis, market analysis, solution analysis, solution recommendation, procurement, implementation, cutover, and support
  • IIBA CCBA/CBAP qualification

It is expected that you will be able to work across multiple streams of work with technical experts but also able to translate technology into plain English terms understood by the business. You will be expert at digging beneath the surface issue and identifying the fundamental challenges and be able to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders to get the best outcomes for clients and the organisation
