Immediate start in a household name brand in Sydney's inner suburbs for a financial modelling gun keen to help create new reports after transformation

Our client is a top ASX200 listed Employer of Choice who is in need of a Commercial Finance Business Partner with astute reporting and commercial partnering skills to step up and help through a period of substantial financial change and transformation. They pride themselves on support and mentorship and are looking at only candidates of the highest calibre that can be nurtured as well as adding value above and beyond standards to the business at large.

About the role

Initially a 3-6 month contract, this Finance Business Partner has the potential to go longer term for the right candidate who shows outstanding initiative.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understand the commercial and financial drivers of the different business units, and provide analysis, insights and reporting

  • Keep up to date with the commercial and financial models on a weekly and monthly basis to drive decision making

  • Consolidate and create new financial models for areas of the business who have undergone change and transformation

About you

The right candidate will come from Big 4 or chartered (Working Holiday Visas welcome) with 3-4 years commercial experience in an analyst role, with exceptional communication and business partnering skills and an analytical mindset.

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have:

  • CA, ACA or CPA qualified

  • 2-5 years post qualification commercial experience

  • Advanced Excel skills including creating and updating financial models

  • ERP System exposure, specifically Oracle and Hyperion, would be advantageous

  • Fantastic communication skills including the ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders including senior stakeholders in the business

  • Capable of demonstrating initiative towards problem solving and instigating new ideas and processes

  • Proven attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • Ability to work autonomously with little or no supervision but still driving team outcomes

  • Appetite to absorb information, take on new challenge and work across a wide scope of work
