I personally recruit at the senior/executive recruitment level across Accounting & Finance, IT and Analytics
Finding a new job is a full-time role in itself! Recruiters are typically so short on time and receive so many unsolicited resumes that most sit unread. In the best-case scenario, a recruiter will open the resume, but if it does not catch their eye, it might not even make it into the database. You don't stay top-of-mind by just sending a resume, selling yourself and calling every month to see if a position is available. Executive recruiters focus on a specific industry, region, or field to achieve a level of expertise that makes them more effective and efficient. So start by identifying and approaching recruiters in your industry, region, and field. Build a relationship based on valuable interaction regarding trends and issues that affect the disciplines and industries where you have expertise.
Prior to joining Morgan McKinley, I began my career recruiting across Accounting & Finance for one of the largest international recruitment groups for seven and a half years .
I joined as a specialist finance consultant focusing on the placement of part and newly qualified accountants into both permanent and contract roles in the UK. At the beginning of 2012 I joined the group's Sydney branch recruiting finance professionals in the government & not-for-profit sectors. In 2013 I took over the Commerce and Industry, Accounting & Finance team in Chatswood recruiting for large multinationals, PLCs and SMEs. At the end of 2014, I was given responsibility for both the Chatswood and Parramatta teams. In 2015, I was promoted to Director of the group's brand in NSW. I now lead the Accounting & Finance, IT and Analytics teams at Morgan McKinley across NSW and specialise in senior/executive level appointments.
