Over the last month, our Government team here at Morgan McKinley has been keeping a close eye on up and coming projects that will have a large impact on contractors that are interested in or currently working within NSW Government.

One of the more interesting conversations we’ve had recently was with the Department of Education which provided us with insight into some active projects and some that are still in the planning phase. Over the next 4 years, the department will be investing heavily in building new schools, further upgrading their current schools and consolidating the staff remuneration into one system to ensure more efficient payments.

This incredible investment in the public education infrastructure will be the largest in the history of NSW and will open up a significant amount of new and exciting opportunities. Ranging from Economists to Project Managers. These projects have already begun and we can expect them to impact the current job market.

At the moment I am actively looking for a mid-level Java Developer that has at least 5 years of experience in IT and 3 years of Java/J2EE experience to work within the Department of Education. If you meet these requirements and have demonstrated expert proficiency with JBoss and RedHat, please don’t hesitate to contact me on scupac@morganmckinley.com.au or 02 8986 3154.

Stay tuned for next months update.
