Associate Consultant Stefan Cupac updates us with some great insights from the NSW Government departments and informs us of some exciting new roles that have become available over the past month.

With Sydney absolutely shook after one of the most severe storms in the past century, I began to look into how all of the excess water is managed by the NSW Government. With a plethora of information being recorded by the Bureau of Meteorology and a deep understanding of where all of flood zones are, Sydney Water is then able to effectively take the necessary precautions to mitigate dangerous stormwater flows.

Currently, Sydney Water is working alongside local councils to implement drain projects within areas such as Erskineville, Green Square and Woolloomooloo. These projects require a large amount of work on the stormwater systems and wastewater overflows to reduce the risk of flooding to people and property.

What is the outlook for the next month?

These recent conditions in Sydney allow local councils and organisations to obtain a better understanding of which areas require further work. We can expect a growth in projects and in turn, a growth in the number of available roles.

Hot jobs now available!

We are currently on the lookout for SAP product leads and project managers that specialise within property disposals to work within a leading Government organisation. Reach out to me on +61 (0)2 8986 3154 or scupac@morganmckinley.com.au to hear more!
