NSW Government Recruitment Consultant Stefan Cupac welcomes us into the new year with an update about the NSW Government departments.

I hope you’ve all had a fantastic Christmas, New Year and Australia Day. Now that the holiday period is officially over and you’re all extremely eager to get back into work, I’m back to provide some more insights into the NSW Government and any available opportunities within the IT and analytics space.

With the elections slowly creeping up, we can definitely expect a change in the market. The important question is: how will this affect the job market? Will it increase or reduce the job flow? According to projections and learnings from the past, we can safely assume that a reduction of jobs will be evident. However, we are yet to feel any dramatic changes.

January proves to be a sluggish start to the year, as many NSW Government members come back into a fresh year we are seeing more projects and implementations coming to life and some still lingering from the previous year. A new Governor of NSW has been announced and we have yet to see what they have in store for us.

Hot job available: I am on the lookout for an experienced data analyst to step into a leading Government organisation for three months to support the data analysts and economic statistical team. If this sounds like you or somebody you know, then please get in contact with me.
