Quarter 1 market update for Project and Change
It's been a very busy first quarter of the year for the Project & Change team at Morgan McKinley, after a nice break over the Easter weekend, the team are back on ground and ready to see what quarter two brings. But first, a look back at the first 3 months of 2018.....
As predicted, it has been a very busy start to year for hiring within our Financial Services clients, pressure from the Royal Commission and other compliance Programs has seen a scramble for resources (mostly on the contract side) across all levels. This demand has seen an increased in the daily rates available to contractors that have prior regulatory experience, in particular any candidates with experience across GDPR, AML or Transaction Monitoring.
Across our C&I clients, we have seen a continued demand for business focused Project Managers, with cost out experience being number one on the requirements list. Both sectors are still hiring extensively in the Agile space, with the team here busy sourcing roles at the Scrum Master and Agile Coach level across most industries we work with.
And finally, another busy quarter for our Change team. With all the Transformation work happening we have seen a high demand across the more "hands on" Change roles. Change Analysts and Managers have been highly sought after, with daily rates across these roles remaining fairly high.
