Electrical Estimator

Job Description

Our client is one of Australia's leading providers of design, construction, maintenance, operation and asset management, with innovative end-to-end infrastructure and engineering solutions. They are currently seeking an Electrical Estimator for a fixed term 3 - 6 months ++ contract. You will have an estimating background and must have experience in electrical estimating ideally across HV power transmission / distribution and or substation projects.

Due to a long term growth plan and a high demand from their existing clients, our client is looking to recruit an Electrical Estimator. Reporting to the Estimating Manager your responsibilities will be completing tasks such as take offs, read and interpret plans, prepare BOQ and rates, cost plan, issuing RFIs, on projects ranging from $5-50 million. Furthermore you possess excellent communication skills to develop working relationships with the team and stakeholders to fulfil all the clients' demands and requirements, as well as mentoring and overseeing junior staff members.

The successful candidate must have an engineering tertiary or trade certification and experience is required to undertake detailed estimates within their infrastructure division. You must have experience gained within the civil and construction industry, gained across multiple projects, specifically electrical estimating projects from $5-50m is required.
