Job Description

Roles/Responsibilities

As a result they have created 3 new positions to support their lines of business. As the Operational Risk Advisor for a key business unit you will be responsible for managing and monitoring best practice risk and compliance practices across a business unit as the first line of defence. Working closely with the business manager your day to day responsibilities will include;

  • Proactively monitoring the risk profile of the business and providing recommendations on key risks and control issues. 
  • Performing reviews on control efficiency and effectiveness making recommendations for changes to strengthen the control environment. 
  • Facilitating incident management through co-ordination and coaching the business 
  • Building effective relationships with front line managers to develop a strong culture of risk awareness
  • Playing a key role in risk related projects and operational initiatives.
Personal Attributes

Ideally you are degree qualified with significant operational risk experience gained in one of the Big 4 consulting firms or a leading wealth manager. You display exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships and influence at a senior level. You enjoy being entrenched in the business and taking a hands on approach to risk management. Your project management & presentation skills will be paramount to your success and exposure to a range of investment and insurance products will be advantageous.
