Metallurgist/Corrosion Engineer

Job Description

Leading NSW engineering company now require a Metallurgist/Corrosion Engineer with specialised skills in the design and process optimisation of highways, water and power to join their dynamic team. It is expected you will have cross discipline management expertise as well as previous external client services interface experience on large scale projects.

Key functions of this role include:
Development of the group's corrosion engineering, condition assessment and remediation capability.Manage and build upon existing capability in failure investigation, testing, condition assessment and remediation of existing structures. Support business development, maintain relationships and prepare tenders for proposed projects.
Ensure all metallurgical and corrosion aspects of the project is brought in on time and on budget.Manage all necessary documentation, reports and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate would be degree qualified with extensive practical experience in metallurgy, materials, corrosion, chemical or mechanical Engineering. Good business accumen essential.
